Go to Ninite.com.
Here, scroll down to the CCCP software (Combined Codec Cinema Player). Check
the box for this software, and the boxes for any other software you want to
have updated and installed on your computer as well. Then, ask the site to
build your installer, by hitting the button at the end of the list.
The CCCP player, I have been using for a period of time. It does have a
standard Windows Clasic menu, and is pretty accessible. It even plays DVDs
that I cannot get my other DVD softwares to play. For navigating between the
different Titles, Subtitles and Chapters on your DVD, go to the Navigate
menu, and then choose Jump To. Then arrow your way through the selection,
and hit Enter when you find what you are looking for. It will immediately
start playing from the point you selected. The Navigation menu, can be
reached by the hotkey of Alt-N. Takes a bit to get used to, since the
software is quite powerful. Yet, it should play your DVDs, pretty well right
out of the box. And, it is all free.
Several versions are available on the net, I have been told. And, they even
seem to have slightly different names. At least, that is how the info I got
goes. Yet, I only did try the one version, which you will find at the
website of Ninite. No need to do further searching, and you are getting
things without a bunch of add-onns and malware. What's more, you will never
need to answer a long line of questions, when using the Ninite installer.

Subject: A Good DVD Playing Software Package
Hi, Folks. I used to use Corel WinDVD to play movies on my PC or laptop.
Unfortunately, when I got a new upgrade, I couldn't navigate through the
chapters, etc., something I could do with Versions 8 and 9. Does anyone
know of a good DVD player that will work with WE? Thanks in
advance.--Matthew Chao
