Like what I said in my previous post, you will need the .net runtime which
its located in the CD itself.
Without the video support for WE 8 will still work, but without the runtime
files, it will not even start.

I get the message the program can't run, because mfc100u.dll is missing.

This is a newly created portable WE8 installation to a 4gb flash drive.
The notebook has windows 7 operating system.  It has narrator runningt 
without any problems.
Things should not be so difficult.
