Hi Everyone:
For a long, long time, Window-Eyes kept me reasonably somewhat gainfully
employed to be reasonably politically correct!! I think the time is ripe
for me to look for a different screen reader. Sadly though, Jaws WON'T FIT
THE BILL as it has never worked for me. Guess I'll put NVDA to the test at
last, and, if things do pan out, I seriously MAY NOT consider upgrading
Window-Eyes.
With previous versions of Window-Eyes, I could ROUTE THE POINTER to an
element, press the left mouse click button on the keyboard and the element
in question would open up for me to work with. Today, whether the version
was Window-Eyes 7.5.4.1 or 8.0.0, no dice!! I COULD NOT SUBMIT any medical
claims today for processing and adjudication using the Web Portal I had
always used. Each time I routed the mouse to an element all I hear is
"Pointer routed to cursor" and I COULD NOT DO a left mouse click on it to
get the results I needed.
To say that I am NOT FRUSTRATED would be a misnomer. I am very, very sad
that I could not get valuable work done all day long today.
Windows Version: XP Professional Service PAK3 all updates intact
Browser: Internet Explorer 8 with all applicable updates intact
Much thanks!!
Sincerely,
Olusegun
