Hi folks
I have 99 of my Thunderbird issues solved. I'll tell you my experience
as to what I had to do.
For me, the control alt c menu only reads properly using Thunderbird
3.6. I upgraded again back and forth with this thing so many times
trying to get things right I could probably do it in my sleep by now. I
finally have the columns showing, subject, and from. I figure I already
know the date so I really don't need that. A while back, Raul did a
great little tutorial about using Thunderbird and in the second part, he
outlined arranging the columns using the drag and drop method. I really
really want this to work, can you guys tell? So here's what I'm doing,
and then i'm hoping someone will straighten me out on this with clear
and easy-to-understand instructions as to how to do this. Please keep in
mind folks, i'm not good with the mouse. I haven't had to use it a lot
so i'm not good with drag and drop, please forgive me.
Ok. So with Thunderbird open, I'm told that I need to use Insert numpad
plus. This routes the mouse pointer to the list of messages. Ok, got
that, check.
Next, I use numpad 8 to find the columns, first is subject, and just to
the right of that is from. I want to move from, to the left of subject.
Ok, so i'm focused on the word from, insert 5 is on the word from so
I've got that part right. Where I'm getting stuck is the actual drag
and drop. From what I understand the keystroke for this should be
insert plus period. When I do this, nothing happens. I've only done
this once or twice before so again, please forgive my inexperience with
this. Can anyone straighten me out here. I just want this fixed up and
I'm a lot closer than yesterday for sure.
