Hi Nevil

Like I've said in previous messages I'm not good with the actual mouse so you'll have to forgive me. How I did it was kind of the long way around, but I uninstalled the current thunderbird, downgraded to version 3.06, and used control alt c to pick the columns i wanted, and then upgraded again to the current thunderbird. so you would have to get the right columns showing, and then use your drag and drop to put them in the order you want them. Like I said for me I only have from and subject, but I would think you would want yours as from, subject, and recipient if I have it right. If I don't i'm certain someone would correct me. I know that's probably not very helpful but it's the best way I can explain it.

Hi Chris,
Currently my latest version of TBird shows subject, from, and nothing else. Although this is the way I like it,it would be great ifthe the name of the sending list could be displayed in the third position.
i.e. subject, from, for. e.g. WE update Aaron Smith, GW info

Using my current display, it is not always obvious where the message was sent from and could be a spam message which I don't wish to open to determine what the contents are.

So, how do I go about finding the list of headings which are available?

Thanks
Neville.

Hi Casey

I did a pretty extensive post on this yesterday. Basicly it involves
getting the columns you want to be shown, and then after you do that,
it's a matter of doing a window-eyes drag and drop. you have to get your
virtual mouse in *just* the right place, and then when you find the
column you want to be moved over, you press insert, plus num pad delete
once to mark it for a move. the numpad delete is one key just to the
right of your insert key.
so to help you find it, go to your right arrow key, then just to the
right is insert, and then just to the right of that is numpad delete.

You would then use insert plus num pad 7 to go left, or insert plus
numpad 9 to go to the right. then when you're in the position you want,
you press insert plus numpad delete again and you'll get a dialogue box
with a drop button in focus. You're focused on the drop button that
appears so just hit the space bar. This is an exact science so I can
only explain it so well, you have to try it out for yourself. Also if
this helps when I moved my from column over to the left of subject, I
placed myself on the actual word subject, and then I did the drop. I
tried doing it while on a graphic, and it didn't work. I hope this
helps, or at least, leads you in the right direction. Sorry I can't be
more helpful, this concept isn't easy to explain, i only have a bit of
knowledge about it. I haven't used it more than, say, 2 maybe 3 times
tops. So I hope I explained this well enough.

Okay I have the t Bird inhansed app installed.
Now who I would like to get my Thunderbird to read for going threw my
messages is.
hear the number of message there are like one of if it is a thread
however many are in that thread.
then hear as far as a thread goes like 2 collapsed then unread and who
the message is from.
Then the subject and then the date or time the message came in.
So if anyone can give me a hand with this that would be grate.
