Yep. I was able to duplicate your problem. Below the reading pane option in
the View menu is an option called auto preview. I'll bet that yours is
checked. Uncheck it by pressing Enter on that menu option.

Sounds like the reading pane is turned on.

Alt-V, N, and select the Off option.

Hey guys,
As some of you know, I was having these issues with outlook 03 last week.
Now when I go through my messages, I get who it's from, but it doesn't read
the subject, it just starts reading the boyd of the message.  Any ideas what
I need to change?
