No they're not, but neither is Office, and since Outlook comes with Office and 
is not a separate product, it should not be ruled out, and with Microsoft's new 
subscription model, it makes it easier to get Outlook; you can install Office 
onto five different computers if you go through Office 365.

There's no better email client than Outlook 2010/2013, and it's amazing how 
often this question has been asked.  I should do a screen cast or something and 
post it here for folks to review so that they can understand that the type, 
model, and hardware of the computer doesn't matter with Window-Eyes; and that 
most current software works with it.

I would copy the dll from vista dvd and use windows mail other wise your stuck 
with thunderbird or windows live mail unless you use web mail.
