Hello Jesse,
For Thunderbird, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, we enabled the math
punctuation so that symbols like dashes, slashes, and the like (which
are common in these apps) are spoken. If you would rather they be silent
in these programs, first open the program in question, bring up the
Window-Eyes control panel, navigate to Screen/Punctuation, turn math
back off, and click the Save Settings button.
Regards,
Steve

Hi guys. I've seen the question and indeed have also wondered just
how to berid of the dashes you hear with the TB enhanced APP. To my
knowledge, I haven't seen any ways to get it _not to read all those
dashes within a message or when Thunderbird loads.
"Mozilla--Thunderbird" something thats more noteworthy and not as much
of an annoyance but simply knowing how to fix would be a thing of
beauty. Thanks.
Jesse
