Surprisingly John, I have already done that. W-E is set to reside in
the notification area, and hitting the minimise button still fails to
make the control panel go back there when minimised.

Reg,
The window will minimize to the system tray only if you have set it up
to do so. Take a look under General/Startup Options, and verify that
it's not configured to reside in the taskbar.

Subject: Persistent W-E control panel persistence
Hi all
I thought the refusal of the W-E control panel to go away was down to
me not pressing the "minimise" button. But, I'm now doing that, and
it still refuses to minimise back to the notification area.
Latest Window-Eyes under XP. Am I alone in this?
