John,

You didn't mention the browser you are using or the version of Window-Eyes but I tried this with IE9 and Window-Eyes 8.2 and saw your problem. But this isn't a Window-Eyes issue as the same problem happens with other screen readers or without a screen reader. The problem is the sign in information doesn't appear unless the physical mouse is hovering over the Sign in / Register link. So simply get to the link with Window-Eyes and instead of hitting enter to activate the link which does nothing, press insert-numpad-plus to route the mouse to the actual link. This causes a pop up menu to appear and now you can just tab to the username and password fields.

If you follow this link

myverizon.com

and click on already registered and try to log in, Windoweyes does not correctly identify the edit boxes for entering name and password. I can get to the first edit box (which isn't labeled correctly) but when I tab I hear nothing. No beep, no label, nothing.

Can anyone duplicate this problem and explain what's going on?

Thanks.
