Hi, All:

I upgraded WE from 7.5.4.1 to 8.2 on my 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium machine this morning and encountered a hiccup with the system tray, a.k.a.: notification area.

I backed up a file to my external hard drive and pressed Insert-S after receiving the message that the backup was successful. I heard system tray not available and tried Windows key-B and heard the safely remove hardware item which I clicked on. Arrowed down to eject and the name of the external hard drive and pressed enter. WE said nothing and speech was lost and I was unable to bring it back. I managed to get the machine shut down without having to give it a lobotomy and pressing the power button and removed the external hard drive.

It had been working okay with 7.5.4.1. I have been getting an

Autoprt
> Cannot create shell notification icon. Okay

message about every other time when the Win 7 boots up and I don't know if that might have anything to do with it. Carbonite may have also been pending.

Does anyone know what is happening here?

Thank you,

Margaret
