Hi All,

Ok, the suggestion to try an external keyboard was a good one. I just didn't
think of it. I also tried the suggest of reinstalling 8.2.0.0. I'm
disappointed to say neither recommendation did the trick. We've got several
external keyboards laying around here. One was a cheap standard desktop find
them anywhere kind complete with numpad and 6-pack. The delete key did
nothing. I can delete the message if I hold down the shift key and then
down-arrow. The ubiquitous message asking for confirmation to delete the
message is asked and I can hit the down-arrow key to get to the yes button and
hit enter on that and the confirmation message pops up and I can then hit enter
and the message will be deleted then. I've seen this exact same thing on my
windows 7 HP laptop and have to do the exact same thing to delete messages but
the latest version of WE has fixed that problem on my Win 7 64 bit computer and
apparently by magic moved it to my XP netbook. <grin> This is when I began to
suspect that maybe the problem might be with WindowEyes.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Try an external keyboard and see if the delete key responds. If that doesn't
work, maybe run the upgrader for WE again.

Subject: Outlook Express problem in XP

I installed 8.2.0.0 on my Windows XP netbook yesterday. It has been
running fine sense then. All of a sudden today, I cannot delete email messages
in outlook express using the delete key. Pressing the delete key does
absolutely nothing. II cannot find any problems. I've ran scan disc for
errors and even defragged my computer mostly because I'm getting desperate.
I'm now wondering if it may be my new installation of Window-Eyes 8.2.0.0. Any
ideas or suggestions? I'm not even sure if it is WE so any help would be
greatly appreciated..

    Regards,

    Alan
