Good morning, I was attempting to figure out how to stop the duplication of messages in my sent items as this message started.
I had done some googeling on the topic and I found that the settings for storing messages is in two places. One of the places is in the Account settings and one is under options to save a copy of sent messages check box .. I had found while looking for this information options under outlook options to always ask for read receipts and delivery notifications. I wanted to have them on in the main work email and so I turned them on in that profile. Unknown to me it also turned them on in my personal profile in outlook 2010. I didn't mean to send each and every one on the list that request. I only wanted it for the business transactions. Oops. Is it possible to have those settings turned on for one outlook profile and not the other? Again sorry to the list for the mistake. I was able to successfully reach the Account Settings dialog to select my email account and then activate the Change button to bring up the Change Account dialog which is used to adjust your account and server settings. Here are the steps: 1. Press Alt-F to activate the File Tab 2. Tab three times to navigate to Account Settings 3. Press Enter to open the Account Settings Context Menu 4. Press CTRL-SHIFT-S to verify you are on the Account Settings dialog menu item and press Enter 5. In the Account Settings dialog, Tab until you reach the list of accounts and make sure the account you want to edit is selected 6. Shift-Tab until you reach the Change dialog button and press Enter to activate the button 7. Make any necessary changes in the Change Account dialog. It appears that I have the same problem. I need to get into that area to uncheck a check box that is storing a copy of mail in my sent items resulting in duplication. I can't get past the part that says that account settings is a list drop down. Nothing is spoken and I can't figure out what is wrong.
