I've been looking around a bit in the WE apps, like the GW Toolkit, and
AppGet, and I haven't found precisely the mechanism which performs the
automatic check for app updates. I'll keep it in mind, though. For
me, I have two Windows 7 x64 systems, both running WE current version,
and both always check for updates when WE starts up, whether on system
reboot, or simply when WE is shut down and restarted. Sorry you're
having trouble.
