I really did think I had that document open when I went and looked but I also had the manual open so I guess that is how I managed not to have that application in focus when looking at the verbosity options. In short that did not help at all once I did find that option. Checking that box made the document complete unreadable. I was hoping that would allow me to have the verbosity set for this document but that is not how it works. Thanks for setting me straight. If a document is open, you open WE, navigate to Verbosity/Office/Word/Miscellaneous and are not able to access this item, then there might be something else afoot. Very inefficient. It was my third trip through the tree of knowledge to find how to set the word enhanced behavior to off as the manual states it can be disabled. I will paste the text of the manual below. The instructions say that the ability to turn this setting off is in Verbosity office word miscellaneous. I went and looked and there is not a setting referring to enhanced settings in this area. So If this is still an option where is it? I don't even know if it will do what I want but I can't even use the manuals instructions to try it. If this is no longer an option the manual is miss leading. If this is still an option then the manual needs to be fixed to reflect the steps to accomplish the desired settings. Manual text below. Shannon Disabling Enhanced Word Support If you encounter a document that does not read correctly with Window-Eyes enhanced Word support, you have the option to revert back to the older method of accessing the document .. To turn this feature on or off, open the Verbosity/Office/Word/Miscellaneous area of the Window-Eyes control panel. This is a per document setting, and will not be stored in any set file. If you have a document that you think is not reading correctly, you should first contact support to verify that the document is causing problems.
