There's just one step that was left out of the instructions for removing IE-10. After unchecking the auto update check box in version 10, then you go to programs and features, but you'll find that IE is not in there. You then have to tab over to (view installed updates), then you will find internet explorer in that listing, and it can then be removed. After restarting, you will be taken back to version nine.
