I have hardly ever used the mobile site, even though countless people
recommend it. With WE 8.2 and IE 10, you have a fighting chance of getting
things done. But it won't be easy, and you would probably sometimes benefit
from having a sighted person looking over your shoulder. I don't have an
answer to your specific question, and any answer I gave would be obsolete in
6 weeks since Facebook changes its interface so frequently.

Hi, I just got a reply from the accessibility email at facebook regarding
hiding posts from people you are friends with from your newsfeed on the
mobile site (m.facebook.com). The person at facebook told me to use the
facebook.com site (the regular one) if I am accessing my account via a
desktop or laptop computer, as opposed to a smart phone. I was always under
the impression that we screen using blind people should use the mobile site.
