Hi Morné, I would download and install ultra defrag which is free. Here is the link for the 64bit version: ultradefrag-6.0.1.bin.amd64.exe <http://hivelocity.dl.sourceforge.net/project/ultradefrag/stable-release/6.0.1/ultradefrag-6.0.1.bin.amd64.exe>
for 32 bit version: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ultradefrag/files/latest/download?source=dlp The alt key opens the menu and just arrow down and enter on defrag or full optimization. If you want press w, and you can instruct the program to shutdown, sleep, etc when it is done. Hello list, I wanted to defrag my hard drive. I opened the disk defragmenter and got a message which read that the diskdefragmenter was customized by a different program, and if I want to change the schedule, I must remove the settings. I hit enter on the remove settings button, with no success. When I try to open the disk defragmenter, I get the same message. I even ran h a checkdisk to see if that might help. Any advice? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
