Subject: Windows live mail question?

Hi Bob,

Here are the steps you can use to create a new contact group also known as a
category in Windows Live Mail:

1. Open Windows Live Mail

2. Go to the Contacts module by pressing Control-3

3. Make sure you have already added all of the contacts you wish to
include in the new group/category

4. Press Alt-H followed by G to bring up the new category dialog

5. Type in the name for the group in the provided edit box

6. Press Tab to move to the list of contacts

7. Use your up and down arrow keys to move to each contact you wish to
add to the category and press Spacebar to add them to the category

8. Repeat this process of each contact in the list you want to add to the
category

9. Press Tab to move to the next edit box and verify the contacts who you
have selected to be added to the group

10. Tab to the Save button and press Enter.

After completing the above steps, you should be able to type the name of the
category into the To field of an email message. Please note that these
steps worked successfully using Windows Live Mail 2011 on a Windows 7
computer. The steps might vary slightly in newer versions of the email
client under Windows 8. I hope you find this information helpful. Please
let me know if you need anything else. Thanks and have a great day!

Best Regards,

Marc Solomon

Once Windows blue comes out, I'm going to install windows 8.1 on this xp

machine. The only question that I have concerns live mail. Can anyone help

me figure out how to set up groups in live mail?
