Hi Max,

The "N" that you are hearing in the "FIND" dialog is telling you that "N" is 
the shortcut key to get to that particular control in the "find" dialog.  I 
think you can turn it off but couldn't find it quickly as I write this.  
I can't duplicate the "on" issue.
