Having considered a few alternatives, I decided to migrate from Outlook Express on my old XP machine, and to Thunderbird on the new Windows8 machine. Newest version of thunderbird was downloaded and installed two days ago, and I have made sure the Thunderbird set files are loading when operating the software. Further I have confirmed that the TBEnhance app is loaded.Everything seems well so far.

When composing a ewnew message, I am experiencing a quite strange behavior. I have set my keyboard voice to "words and numbers". It works just fine, for a while. Yet, all the sudden, without any further notification or obvious reason, the voice starts to repeat every keystroke as I type. That is, just like it would, if I had set my keyboard voice to "single character mode". This behavior keeps going on, until I do one out of two things> 1. I can Alt-Tab away from the message I am composing, and then Alt-Tab back to the message, and things will go back to normal; 2. Alternatively, I can finish up my message, send it, and when I compose my next message, things are working just normal again, for a while.

Anyone else experiencing this behavior, and have an explanation for this case? BTW, when composing this very message, the keyboard worked in word mode, for all the above text. But when I started out on this paragraph you are reading right now, I am hearing every character as I type. for a fast typer like me, this is no less than anoying, to have to listen to every keystroke.

Greatly would appreciate any feedback on this matter.
