Here is a pretty good article that outlines UEFI. Because it is programmable 
and has a browser interface it looks like the company who can come up with a 
text to speech solution to access UEFI, will have a significant jump on the 
others. Heck if one can run SA To Go from a browser to get some text to speech 
functions happening, what is preventing something similar to take place in that 
area of non volatile memory?
