Hi,

The spoken messages sound as though they are coming from
Browse Mode. Try turning Browse Mode off before replying and see if that makes
a difference. Finally, try replying to messages
by using the menus instead of using CONTROL-R to see if that works. There are
"shortcut" keys that you can use to get to the
desired menu
function more quickly than using the arrow keys if you need to use the menu
approach for a while. Also, there was a message that
says that your Internet Explorer probably was updated. There is a way to go
back to your original version of Internet Explorer
without doing a restore, and you can disable the automatic update to the newer
version. None of this is
meant to suggest that you should not be able to use CONTROL-R, but rather to
provide a workaround until the problem can be solved.
Obviously, you'll have to decide if you want to use the newer version of
Internet Explorer as that will affect the path you take.
and to try to narrow down where the problem is. It sounds as though the
problem is connected to the CONTROL-R hot key and not the
It is generally not a good idea to stop all Windows updates because many are
plugging security holes. Good luck.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
