If we can consider GW-Connect an app, why isn't it at least flagged when running the "Update Check" app with Ctrl+Win+F10? Of course kudos to GW staff for posting the announcement and improving the app/program/script.
On a related note, can we please have some discussion of apps and their behavior on this list? Theyh are an integral part of the modern W.E. experience, and one can't be on separate mailing lists for everything. Perhaps there's more such discussion than I realize, but my experiences with Extended Dictionaries certainly didn't elicit any response. Perhaps it's simply been covered before, but there seems little justification for creating a brick wall between W.E. and its apps, other than maybe developers' debates over same. In its usual responsiveness, I hope GW will give some thought to this apps vs. core program issue. Many thanks! -- "Americans must know the basic architecture of programs designed to protect them."(Senator Franken.) Regards, Max.
