Duyahn:
Yes, I will gladly stand by my smoke and mirrors remark in my earlier
message. I find it highly-irresponsible for GW to put out a
non-announcement like the one they put out earlier today. A movie trailer
at least gives you some idea of what is coming and what to expect. And as
for your remark that I should be grateful; GW is in the business of
providing a service or accessibility to those that need it. If they are not
doing their job to the satisfaction of their customers, damn right we're
within our rights to complain about it. I don't feel the need to keep my
lips eternally glued to the asses of the W.E. developers in order for them
to continue to improve their software programs. Yes, GW Micro has done some
incredible things over most of the past 15 years and opened a lot of doors
to us that would not have been opened otherwise, and they should get credit
for that. But when they don't deliver on past promises and the customers
begin losing accessibility and stability while being told we must have the
latest and greatest, I am going to stand up and say something about it, and
that does not make me a winy baby. Jon

I don't mean to sound a bit cold harded in this message to the GW list at
all but, why don't you all stop complaining! Seriously? GWMicro is doing
what they can to fix bugs that user's like myself have reported. I haven't
updated fire fox to the latest version because it works for me. And as for
the smoke and mirrors comment? Really? We have to act like five year olds on
this list? I thought we were past the immature stages of that past time. I
guess not for some user's on this list. Why don't you wait for the
announcement on the list to find out what this is. You really should be
thankful. GWMicro works hard on what they do in my opinion. If you don't
like the current version of Window eyes, downgrade! It's that simple. No
pain no gain. We really have to have GWMicro's staff personally attacked
because you feel that they are not doing there job correctly? Maybe you
should trade places for a week and do what they do and then sit back after
your done and see how you feel being put under scrutiny when they start
complaining and wining to you. You wouldn't like it much would you?
Ok.
Rant over.
And if the staff at GWMicro see it fit to have me removed from this list,
fine. But, I would rather stand up and defend a company for it's hard work.

I'd settle for greatly-improved stability within WE and IE and FireFox,
and set files that load and stay loaded when they're supposed to. I
couldn't care less about Skipe and GW Connect as I don't use those programs
and have only met one or two other blind people that do. I'd like to see GW
focus on the programs used most often by the greatest number of people.
But, who am I, anyway? And as for suspense and watching TV, I don't really
watch much TV, so the marketing attempts don't work there on me either.
Jon

In the very near future, GW Micro will be announcing the release
of a new accessibility solution that will once again break down barriers for
people who are blind or visually impaired. It's something that many people
in the blind and low vision community have been requesting for quite some
time. What do you think it could be? Don't worry, you won't have to wait
much longer to find out, so stay tuned for more details!
