Hi Carol,
In the current version of Window-Eyes, you can now use the Caps Lock key as an Insert key modifier. This was done to make it easier to press commands that use the Insert key on compact laptop keyboards but this feature can also be used on full size keyboards. So, you can press Caps Lock plus Number Row 1 to enable key describer. With key describer enabled, you should be able to find the Insert key assuming it exists and is not a secondary function of another key on your laptop keyboard. Or you can continue to use the Caps Lock instead of the Insert key. For example, you can press Caps Lock - T for time or Caps Lock - S for the system tray dialog, etc. I hope you find this information helpful. Kind Regards, Marc Subject: OT Acer laptop From: Carol and Roger <[email protected]> Date: Tue, 02 Jul 2013 13:22:12 -0400 Hello. I recently received a small Acer laptop from a friend that knows nothing about the laptop. My guess is that it is approximately 5x8 inches. Does anyone know where I can possibly find the insert key so I can turn on key describer? Thank you. BTW, there are four keys to the left of the spacebar and the arrow keys are on the bottom right of the keyboard. There is some type of little mouse track pad below the spacebar. I would appreciate any help I can get with this new (to me) device. Carol If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
