I agree with everything you said David, surely Window Eyes should come first, no wonder more and more people are turning to NVDA. I use Skype and Facebook without the need to buy add ons to make them more accessible. Why don't GW Micro do a survey of their customers to see what direction they want to go. 1. A fully accessible screen reader. 2. Loads of accessible programs at 50 bucks a go. They could also ask how many people have stopped using Window Eyes, and the reason why. Scott. Really, to 'go social', the blind user is being ripped another 100 dollars a year, that his contemporaries will have for free. And, that is on top of a screen reader that promises me, that I will be able to perform close to what anyone else could do with their computer. Sorry, but I don't follow that logic. Why not spend the time and effort, in making the screen reader work with those things, instead of posing even more charges on people. Good news, I am not part of all those social media. So, a big thianks to GW for the announcement, as you have saved me 50 dollars a year, today. Now, off to buy some chocolate. Anyone on this list, knows how many pounds of chocolate, or how many doughnuts I can get for 50 dollars? GW, I and many others, are thankful for your continuing to improve the screen reader. Keep up that job, and let's have the fix for the UEFI issues on Win7 and 8 machines, out on the market soon. That would have been greater news. What need do we have for a new product, all the time we cannot get the screen reader itself to work on a computer worth many hundreds dollars? My big hope for the next secret release of GW, is that it will do something for the screen reader.
