Hi, That won't work, because when you plug in your external sound card, Window-Eyes will see it and start with the new card, not the original one.
So what you want to do is to go into Control Panel of Window-Eyes Control-Backslash, down to the Devices node, expand it and select Synthesisers, then find the synth you are currently using and tab to the sound card combo. Then force it to use the sound card you want. Sav settings and bingo! It's current setting is Default Sound card which means when you change it, Window-Eyes correctly switches to the new default sound card.
