Hi Jed ,
The easiest and the best way is to save your firefox profile
as follow
in firefox
alt h
click on trouble shooting infomation or enter
click on show profile folder
select all and copy
then save it as fire fox profile
then when you need it just do the same do instead of copy you will paste the file you saved.
or you can
set folder view to show hidden system files
and in your user folder you will see appdata and enter
then arrow down to romaing and enter
then copy all the files that are important to you. I.e., firefox, thunderbird, gwmicro, winamp, etc

I just migrated from windows 8 back to windows 7 and I just
pasted all my roming files mentioned above
Installed all my programs and everything was working as I had left it on windows 8. For example, firefox had all the addons which I had installed previously on windows 8 which I did not need to install in windows 7.
Good luck, Manny
