Hi, Buddy.

I do all my testing under Windows 8, so it definitely works there. Download and install ftp://ftp.gwmicro.com/special/CapicomSetup.exe, and see if that helps. If not, send me your %temp%\SocialEyes\SocialEyes.log file.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi,

Well, I got SocialEyes, and it seems to work pretty well on Win7, once you turn
off profile pictures. (If you don’t turn off profile pictures, forget it...it’s
dog slow, to the point of being useless after the firsst 25 posts in your
timeline, and meaning to cast no aspersions on dogs.) However, I have no joy
with Windows 8. After installing the SocialEyes app and the authorization file,
I get the “missing authorization” error when launching SocialEyes. Also, the
authorization installs very quickly, and, even though it says it’s installed
and I can uninstall it from programs and features, it doesn’t show the
authorization count, and my Win7 install still shows four authorizations
available. This remains the case after I have tried the following, with
reinstalls after each:

1) Ran the installs as administrator.

2) Installed both programs several times.

3) Ran a file that GW provided via twitter.

4) Disabled Windows Deender’s active protection.

Has anyone got this to work with Windows 8?
