Open the Window-Eyes control panel.
Go to Screen, Punctuation, and turn them off or set them to dictionary
only. If you set them to dictionary only you can create your own
character dictionaries; global or program specific, to hear only what
you want to hear.
If you don't see Punctuation under Screen turn on Show advanced options
in the Help menu.
For more details open the Window-Eyes manual and go to: The Window-Eyes
control panel, The Window-Eyes user interface, Screen, Punctuation.

Hi, I just received my copy of WE 8.2 and thought I did the install
correctly. When it comes to punctuation it is not reading things like
period, question, comma's or apostrophy's. but what I am getting for
example on facebook when it lists notifications and I have 1 notification WE
is saying notifications, left paren 1 right paren. It also is saying the
greater than symbol. Can anyone tell me where in WE I go to change my
punctuation so these things are not spoken.
I appreciate anyones help on the situation.
