Do you by chance have the Word Advanced Features app running? If so, this
behavior is by design. You can have this extra speech silenced by tweeking the
preferences of the app.

  From Word 2010:

1.        Open the Window-Eyes Control Panel with CTRL-BACKSLASH;

2.       Open the Apps pull-down with ALT-A;

3.       Arrow up until you find Word Advanced Features;

4.       Right arrow;

5.       You should be on the Preferences item.  Hit ENTER;

6.       Tab until you hear “other, documentation summary”;

7.       Hit SPACE to uncheck it;

8. Alt-O for OK and to close preferences.

Sounds like your mouse pointer is on something that has a tool tip. Is your
mouse voice set to Eloquence grandpa?

Subject: WE's voice changes in MS Word

Hello list,

This behavior is funny, but also annoying at the same time. When I open Word,
the Eloquence voice Read starts reading. But then a different voice, I think it
is Grandpa, starts reading stuff like “document has…” and then some
information. After that Read starts talking again. But every time WE reads the
additional info, Grandpa starts talking. Is there a way to stop this?

Regards

Morné
