Mary,
Note that automatic language switching on the web applies only to
Eloquence. To hear numbers pronounced in Russian, change your Numbers
setting (located in Screen/Other) to Synthesizer so that Window-Eyes
will not perform any number processing in advance. My previous email
should address your punctuation questions.
Note that if you want to switch between multiple voices or languages on
a frequent basis, the Voice Rotor app which is included with Window-Eyes
should prove helpful. You can locate it from within the Window-Eyes Apps
menu.
Regards,
Steve

Hi all,
I have finally bitten the bullet and am getting to grips with Windows 7
in combination with Window Eyes 8.2. I have a bunch of questions, but I
will put them in separate messages.
The first question concerns language switching on web pages. I have
several of the Ivona voices installed, one of which is a
recently-released Russian one. However, on web pages that are in
Russian, I'm still seeing English stuff, e.g. google adds in frames,
and that is unintelligibly read by the Russian speech, rather than the
available U.S. English voices. Even weirder is that, if a set of
numbers is encountered, e.g. 200, this is also pronounced
unintelligibly in English by the Russian voice, rather than the numbers
being properly read off in Russian. Similarly, punctuation marks, such
as slash or dash are spoken in English by the Rusisan voice. Is there
anything I can do to make this unwanted behavior go away?
Mary
