Hello fellow window-eyes users:
I just installed the latest version of Utorrent. In case you haven't
upgraded yet, the latest version is 3.3.1 build 30017. For the most
part, the program appears to be extremely screen reader friendly with
Window-eyes. However, I'm a bit confused about the interface. When I
first open the program, I see the following items:
1. an edit box for typing something
2. a tree-view comprising of about 9 options
featured content, torrents, feeds ETC. These don't seem to be in order.
If I arrow down through this tree-view, it starts with 1 then jumps to
3 then 5, then 7 then 9. How do I get to the other options within this
tree-view? Also, there's a custom control that says transfer time
remaining elapsed wasted downloaded uploaded ceeds download speed or
something to that effect, and a tab control that says 2 of 6. Could
someone who is familiar with using Utorrent please explain in plain
english what all these features mean and how I should use them? The
menu bar appears to only have three menues, file, options, and help.
There is of course another menu that says system, but that's probably
not part of the menu structure, or is it? Finally, is there an
accessible way to add a torrent file to Utorrent so that I can extract
or whatever the torrent world calls it, files into mp3 format? I've
already found lots of search engine sites where I can obtain torrent
files, but haven't been able to use them that is, until now. Any help
would greatly be appreciated. You can write to me off list to avoid
overloading the list.
