Certainly: this was part of my problem - thank you for reminding me of this.  I 
think I may be dealing with something less easy to solve, as other Microsoft 
Office products are also behaving strangely.

I've noticed that Office apps are not loading correctly, which points to 
something in the corporate security system again!

At the top right of my keyboard there is a set of 3 keys, the far right is 
"pause", the center is "scroll lock" and I think the left is "print screen".  
Try pressing the middle key which toggles scroll lock on and off which may be 
your problem.
