Jed,
I feel your pain.
I have problems with Outlook 2010, Windows seven and WE 8.3 as well. I am
constantly getting the message that Outlook has stopped responding and when
that happens WE will just go silent. I have also to turn on NVDA and
sometimes that will kick WE back on and sometimes not. Then I use NVDA to
shut down Outlook and usually WE will then return. I agree that it is
annoying.
I also can't use the virtualize messages in browser. It just will not work
at all. I have checked that that Outlook enhanced app is up to date and I
have the enabled the ability virtualize option. I still have no luck with
that hot key the option is disabled in that pull down area of the ribbon.
I also have a very annoying problem that when reading an html message If I
hear custom control I can bet the farm that WE will go silent. The message
must be closed and pause and WE will usually come back in the list view. It
also happens when reading down a message and trip over a link. We will just
stop. Again close the message and wait, reopen it and hope that I can get
past that link to finish reading the message.
I hole heartedly agree that something is very wrong.
I was told that Norton's Semantic anti-virus could be interfering with WE
but I ran my system with it disabled yesterday and it was no better as a
result.
Pretty frustrating.
Only help I can give is support that you are not suffering alone.
If you trip over the answer please pass it along.
Shannon

Subject: yet mor outlook 2010 ssues

Hey guys,

Yet again, more problems.
When I opened up a message this morning, I had another focus problem in
outlook 2010.
I opened the message and pressed down arrow to hear the 1st line of the
message. After this I pressed down arrow again, only to hear the 1st line
of the message again.
The next depress of the arrow, I hear subject. What the hell is this!!!
The cure, yet again is to shut down outlook, shut down window-eyes, restart
them, and the problem goes away. There has to be a reason for this.
These little problems that come up randomly for no explaination, they all
take many minutes of time each day to cure, and I'm quite frankly tired of
it.
Any thoughts?
