Please take Chip's advice and use multiple programs to rid your system of
spyware and viruses.

Also, if you truly want help, PLEASE give your system specs.  No one can
help you if you don't give that information.

Also, I've had problems on an XP system running Office 2007 at work.  I shut
off the apps and then turned them back on.  This generated several app
errors which I ignored and things have been running better.  Try that too.

I swear this program is loaded with bugs.
It has to be.  I have never inmy life experienced such poor performance.
When I opened a message this morning, there was nothing in it when I pressed
up and down arrow multiple times.  Yet when I hit reply, I could arrow up
and down and read the message.  This makes absolutely no sense.
