Wow! Everyone gets it to work. I will stick with the accessible version for
now. No matter how many times I unmute it by default, it turns it back down
and I have cleared my internet cache and deleted the history.

This fix should be easier with Window-Eyes. Try this:
1. Click on the desired selection.
2. Find the Unmute button, and press space bar.
3. Turn Browse Mode off.
4. Hold down the up-arrow key until the desired volume is reached.
