Wow! Everyone gets it to work. I will stick with the accessible version for now. No matter how many times I unmute it by default, it turns it back down and I have cleared my internet cache and deleted the history. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Zielinski" <[email protected]> To: "Craig Werner" <[email protected]>; "GW Micro (List)" <[email protected]>

This fix should be easier with Window-Eyes. Try this:

1. Click on the desired selection.

2. Find the Unmute button, and press space bar.

3. Turn Browse Mode off.

4. Hold down the up-arrow key until the desired volume is reached.

I saw the following on another list. Hope it helps:
As has been discussed previously, Youtube apparently changed its
interface a
few days ago and muted the audio by default. To unmute it and restore the
audio volume to normal using JAWS, follwo these steps:
1. Load the page containing the video you want to listen to.
2. Turn off the virtual cursor vy pressing JAWS key-Z.
3. Starting from the top of the page, tab repeatedly until you reach the
unmute button. You will have to tab quite a bit until you fianlly land on
it.
4. Once you are on the unmute button, press the space bar and then press
the
up arrow key repeatedly to increase the audio volume to the desired level.
Finally, press JAWS key-Z again to turn the virtual cursor back on. HTH

Hi list members. When I go to youtube.com and choose an audio or video
it no longer starts playing. I have found a button that says unmute
and when I click on it nothing happens. I can't figure it out I have
no sighted person around to read the screen.
I am using window-eyes 8.2 and windows 7.
If any knows a solution you may contact me off list. ny help will be
greatly appreciated.
