"Me too" posts aren't worth much, but maybe confirmation that it's not an
isolated problem will help get it addressed sooner. I have experienced this
on my Win 7 64 bit system as well. It didn't start with v8.3, but before it
was intermittent. Now it's every time. I've given up on Window-Eyes and
use NVDA when I need to work with GoldWave.

Subject: Gold Wave problems

Hello,
I am having problems with Window Eyes and Goldwave and my new Quad
core 64 bit machine with Windows 8.
I have used Goldwave for over 10 years but I have never had this bad
a response time in using it.
The worst is when I play a loaded file for a few seconds then stop it
and then do a Alt-C to modify the sound. When I do the alt-c it can
take about 20 seconds before Window Eyes will speak the menu.
I have tried checking theAlternative initialization box but it seems
to do nothing for my issue.
Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Tim
