Yes, I have tried that and when I uncheck that option and then click done, and log off and log on again, the posts are still there and when I recheck the person's list settings that check box is checked again. It's like either the FB server is not getting the command, or it is ignoring it.

Sorry. I gave you instructions for getting them out of notifications, which
is different. What you want on that page is " Show in News Feed." The
Close Friends setting shouldn't affect that.

Actually, if your objective is to hide the posts from your news feed, you
can do it from the mobile site. Open the profile of the person you want
to hide. Near the bottom is a link called " See Friend Lists". I wish
they had not changed the description here from what it used to be because
that phrase is ambiguous. Nevertheless, if you activate it, you will come
to a page that lets you choose from Facebook generated and personally
created lists into which you can organize your friends. The first
checkbox on this page is " Get Notifications". Uncheck that, go to the
"Done" button, and they're gone! Note that if you have them in the Close
Friends list, that overrides this setting, so you will need to uncheck
that too. I should also point out that there may be differences in the
page based on the browser you use. I am using Firefox.

Finally, I'm not sure that affects what you see from third party apps like
Socialize. I know in the past some things that I've excluded from my feed
still show up in these apps. Thankfully at least with Socialize you can
filter there as well.

Subject: facebook question for window eyes users

Hi, wondering if any facebook users on the this list can help me with a
dilemma. Yes, I know social eyes is available, but I am looking to make
changes on my facebook account that will make changes permanantly on the
facebook servers.

Anyway, how do I hide posts from specific people (meaning I would like to

hide all posts from certain people). Apparrantly, JAWS users can do this,

but Window eyes users cannot. I normally use the mobile site, but if i
need to do this on the regular site, then I will need instructions on how

to do this.

Thanks

K
