Hi Doug. You do have it dclose to udnerstanding what I wish to do. I don't have access to my Brille Edge until Monday, so plan to try your suggestions.
The problem seems to me to be the concept of "sticky shift" as the assignment for the Edge's shift function button. I like "sticky shift" for direct text entry. I certainly had not got as far as you are suggesting. Will keep in touch.
