Hi Ivan,
You might try
setting your global hot key preference to on
then you can control your music with your hot keys regardless of which program window you are currently on
to do this
press alt f in winamp classic
then arrow right twice
then arrow up once and enter on preferences
then press g several times
until you hear global hot keys
then tab through and check both choices
the first check box is for the global setting, which will control winamp from anywhere in your computer
the next check box turns on hot keys in winamp.
then tab once and arrow through the hotkeys
you might have to use your mouse to do this.  I don't remember.
