Hi Sunshine,
When you find yourself without sound,
unplug sound device, and wait 20 seconds and replug it.
If this does not help, then reboot until you do have sound.
Before you follow my fix, you should be prepared to reboot your computer without sound if you only have one sound card.
I.e., you should know by memory which keys to press to reboot your computer.
Then I would suggest you go
to device manager
tab and press s
until you hear sound
now arrow right
then highlight your sound card
now press your delete key
you will receive a warning message and just press ok
now reboot your computer and your sound card will be reinstalled.
If your problem was being caused by a corrupted file, this should fix the problem.

Ok, i have a question that might sound a bit different.
every so offten when i boot, or restart my computer i get no sound, nothing comes through my speakers.
window eyes and other screen readers do not work.
some times when rebooting the speech comes back but not all the time.
what could be going on to make the computer not have any sound, btw the master volume and wave are not muted either.
Please advise.
