Hi. I am writing this e-mail to let Window-eyes 8.x users know that I have been running N v d a for approximately 15 minutes or so and am not experiencing the behavior exhibited by my keyboard after running Window-eyes 8.3 for about two minutes or so. After the pc boots up, within about two minutes the arrow keys and numb pad keys stop responding. First letter navigation works, however. For example, in order to restart the pc, after pressing alt-4, I had to press the r key to restart the pc because the arrow keys would not highlight the items in the list. I hate to say I'm using another screen reader, but with this quirky keyboard behavior, I feel I have no choice.
Mike M. P.S. I am pointing out these observations so that Gw Micro can provide a fix for this issue. I am in no way trying to disparage Gw Micro or Window-eyes. I'll defend Gw Micro from a mountain top! If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
