Hi David,

If you can play the file in Winamp, you can use the built-in Winamp output plugin to output the file to .wav or .mp3. It'the one called:

Nullsoft Disk Writer v2.14    [out_disk.dll]

It is just a matter of configuring this plugin the way you want, making sure it's active, and then pressing play to begin the encoding process. Just ensure that you have only the one file in the playlist, and that Repeat mode on the Winamp Options menu is turned off. Also, remember to switch back to the DirectSound output plugin when you are done. I know this sounds confusing, but I can give you more detailed info if you need it.
