Hi W, and Tom Kingston,

As for the developer tools, when I chose this menu option, a 6-tab dialog came up, with lots of options, and so I just closed it. I'm not sure whether that ended up un-checking what had been checked prior to choosing it or not.

As for Suspend Refresh, Tom, it's just amazing, though, how many times I found locked-up speech when I had it set either to Suspend Flash or All. I'm not quite sure that I am superstitious, but I guess it's possible. Smile. It has just become second nature to ensure it's off when speech starts getting cut off when I'm browsing.

Happy computing,

Rod

You may want to check to see if web developer tools is checked. If it is
uncheck it. I don't think you will be able to do that effectively with Window
Eyes so you may need sighted help. When I got that turned off I didn't have
that problem any more.

Hi Jo and Kevin,

Here is a learning from my personal experience.

Anytime speech dies while using Internet Explorer, assuming you don't need to
suspend flash or other page refreshes, you should ensure that you toggle the
Suspend Refresh Rotor to Off. this is done using Alt-Shift-M. The explanation
is that suspending web page refreshes can kill the browser and so your speech,
since this is the active program Window-Eyes is speaking.

Hi Joe:
Does it just crash, or does it give a series of three beeps before it crashes?
I get the three beeps before it crashes. The second beep is lower
than the first beep and the third beep is higher than both the first
and the second beeps
I know it is a IE10 problem because since I started using Firefox
consistently, I have not had that problem.

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 Pro on a 64-bit machine and Internet Explorer will
only run for so long and then the whole system crashes and I have no speech
at all! Can't get it back unless I shut down and re-boot. This happens
almost daily and when I'm filling out a survey, it makes me want to scream!
Can someone please advise?
