Hi,
Try the following
1. Type in taskbar at the search screen and press enter..
2. Press control-tab to get to the navigation tab.
3. tab to the Search everywhere instead of just my apps when I search
from the Apps view check box and make sure it is checked.
I just did the above steps on Windows 8.1.
