This doesn't answer your question, but starting with IE10 Microsoft only
installs the 64 bit version on 64 bit systems. And the copy of
IExplore.exe in the Program files (X86) folder for 32 bit programs just
runs the 64 bit version in the Program files folder.
This sounds like a good test for the new toll-free Microsoft support line.

Hello,
Microsoft was kind enough to install I.E. 11 on my laptop without my
knowledge or consent. I have automatid updates turned off and it did it
anyway. I managed to uninstall I.E. 11 but I had both the 64-bit and
the 32-bit versions of I.E. 9 on the computer. After uninstalling I.E.
11, the 32-bit version of I.E. 9 went with it leaving me the 64-bit
version only. So, how the bloody heck do I get the 32-bit version back?
I'm using WE 7.5.4.1 and Win 7 HP.
Thanks for any help and thanks for nothing Microsoft!
Regards,
Dan
