Hi Robert,
Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating it in the U.S., while those
of us in Canada have already celebrated it on the second Monday of
October, just in case anyone forgot. Smile.
It's always best to use the current version of Thunderbird. So, assuming
you are, you can go to the View menu, choose Sort by, and then make sure
Date is checked. If you check Descending, then the most recent would be
at the top; if you choose Ascending, then the most recent would be at
the bottom.
To cc all your outgoing messages to a certain address, on the Tools
menu, choose Account Settings. Now, you will be in a tree view with all
your e-mail accounts having its own branch, and each account has options
under its own branch.Begin by pressing the Home key to get to the top of
the tree view, so that you can press down arrow from here to get to the
e-mail account you want to work with. Once you have found the e-mail
account you want, down arrow to Copies and Folders. Then tab to the
check box called cc these e-mail addresses, and check it.Then, tab once
to the edit box where you can enter the e-mail address you want to send
cc's to.Finally, when you have filled out everything to your
satisfaction, tab over to Ok and press Enter. Note that you can send
bcc's as well, this having its own check box and corresponding edit box.
Hth,
Rod

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope everyone has had a nice
day. I've spent part of my day learning about Thunderbird which I
downloaded this morning. When folks return to the list I have a couple
of questions which I hope some of you may have an answer to. I have
been unable to find where I can change the order of messages in a list
so that the most recent messages are at the top rather than the bottom
of the list. Second, several years ago I used Thunderbird at work and
remember that at least in that version there was a way to
automatically CC yourself to all messages. I'm unable to find a place
to do this either. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob Martin
