Hi Bud, There's a lot about the WE control panel I don't understand either but I think I can help you here.
For the focus issue: In the WE control panel, go to verbosity. Arrow right and it'll say common closed. Arrow again to common expanded 6 items. Arrow down to focus which I think is the third item. Tab to the first item which is speak the word focus global toggle button. Tab and it should say speak the word focus global. Here mine says no checked 2 of 2. If yours says yes 1 of 1, just arrow down. Then tab to the save settings button and enter. For the table issue: In the WE control panel, go to verbosity. Arrow right and it'll say common closed. Arrow down to hear browse mode closed and arrow right to hear browse mode expanded 17 items. Arrow down to the 17th item which is tables. Tab to the first item which is speak table global toggle scope button. Tab again to speak table global. Here mine says in smart table mode only 3 of 3. You can arrow up to yes or no. My guess is yours is on yes. Set it to whichever you want then tab or shift tab to save settings and enter. If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll look further.
